These terms govern your use of hostpitcrew.com and pitcrewforhosts.com, operated by Firstkontak Consulting Inc ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not, stop using the site.
What HostPitCrew is
A directory of mobile mechanics — technicians who travel to the vehicle. We list them, show their services and price ranges, carry their reviews, and pass along your call taps and quote requests.
We are not a party to the repair. Any work you arrange is a contract between you and that mechanic. We do not perform, supervise, guarantee, insure, or price the work, and we hold no funds between you.
Search is free
Full search, full profiles, every price range, and every review are open to anyone, with no account required. We do not blur results, gate price ranges behind a signup, or tease a better version of the directory. Mechanics pay for placement tiers; people looking for a mechanic never pay to look.
Accounts and verification
- You must give accurate information and keep your credentials to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Verification is free, instant, and never paywalled. It is earned two ways only: uploading a genuine Turo earnings or trip export, or linking a verified FK Command Center account.
- Screenshots, edited exports, and self-declared attestations are not accepted. Ever.
- Every uploaded export is hashed. Reusing one export to verify a second account fails, and attempting it is grounds for removing both accounts.
- Falsifying verification data ends the account and forfeits the badge permanently.
Reviews
- Public reviews require a real captured lead — a call tap or quote request you actually made — and a confirmed email. No lead, no review.
- Verified Turo Host reviews carry the gold badge and always sort above public reviews. The two averages are reported separately and are never blended into one number that hides which is which.
- Public reviews never inherit the gold badge, no matter how good they are.
- Write about work you actually had done. No paid reviews, no competitor sabotage, no reviews of yourself or your own shop.
- We remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, off-topic, or contain someone's personal information. We do not remove a review because a mechanic dislikes it.
- You keep ownership of what you write and grant us a licence to display it on the site.
Price ranges are estimates
Every price range shown is the mechanic's own stated range for that service, not a quote and not a promise. Your final price depends on the vehicle, the parts, and what the mechanic finds once the hood is up. Confirm the number with the mechanic before work starts.
If you list as a mechanic
- List only services you actually perform, at prices you would actually honour, in metros you actually travel to.
- Hold the licences, certifications, and insurance your state and trade require. Documents you upload for badges go through manual review; a badge is a record of what we checked, not a warranty by us.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing and for the work you perform.
- Free listings and paid placement tiers both appear in search. Paid placement affects position. It never changes a review, a rating, or a badge.
- Lead contact details are for responding to that customer. Reselling them, adding people to marketing lists, or passing them on is a permanent ban.
- Routed jobs at negotiated rates are a planned future feature, not a promise of volume today.
Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk extraction, or automated harvesting of listings, reviews, or contact data.
- No fake accounts, fake leads, fake reviews, or impersonation.
- No attempts to break, overload, or probe the service.
- No unlawful, harassing, or abusive content.
Our content
The HostPitCrew name, wordmark, design, copy, and compiled directory are ours. Mechanic listing content belongs to the mechanic, and review content belongs to its author. Nothing here grants you a licence to republish the directory.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is". We vet the listings we can and we correct what we find wrong, but we do not warrant that any mechanic will be available, competent, insured, punctual, or correctly priced, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Firstkontak Consulting Inc is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of work performed by a mechanic you found here. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or one hundred US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Disputes between users
A disagreement about a repair is between you and the mechanic. We will provide the lead record we hold if either side asks, but we do not arbitrate, refund, or enforce outcomes.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, abuses verification, or puts other users at risk — for badge and review fraud, without notice.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced by updating the date at the top and, for account holders, by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Firstkontak Consulting Inc is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
